Eric Amador is a Product Manager at Thales Digital Identity & Security, based in Austin, Texas, where he leads the Luna HSM product line and the integration of post-quantum cryptography, 5G, and crypto-asset capabilities into hardware roots of trust. His work spans market analysis across the Americas, EMEA, APAC and the Middle East, and the FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and Common Criteria EAL4+ certifications that anchor the product line. Eric has spent nearly 30 years inside real-world cryptography.
He started as a banking transaction server developer at Sopra Steria, moved through Gemalto in security architecture, EMV technical consulting, and program management — supporting Tier-1 US bank migrations to EMV – and then support digital banking offering (adaptive authentication, transaction signing, fraud prevention) before taking on the Thales Luna HSM PM role in 2021.
He holds an MSc in Software Engineering from Aston University, an engineer’s degree in Computer Science from ENSIIE, and is fluent in English, and French.
Independently, Eric is the creator of pqctoday.com – an open-source, AI-augmented PQC education and migration platform. The site lets practitioners run real ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA operations directly in their browser through OpenSSL WASM and liboqs, query a 10,000+ chunk RAG corpus of authoritative sources through a fully local AI assistant, and explore standards, threats, vendor products, and timelines through trust-scored, cross-referenced views. It’s where Eric’s day-job perspective on the cryptographic foundation meets his belief that PQC literacy has to be open, interactive, and accessible – exactly the intersection this conference is mapping.
