Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct sets out principles for the conduct of persons attending the FIPS ‘n’ Chips 2026 event but is not meant to be exhaustive and cover all situations that may occur.

The Crypto-V Alliance is committed to providing an experience free of harassment and discrimination in its events, respecting the dignity of every participant. If you experience harassment or discriminatory behavior at the event, we encourage you to reach out to Andreas Fabis, events@crypto-v.org (a phone number will be added for the event).

Participants who violate this Code may be sanctioned and/or expelled from the event, at the discretion of the Crypto-V Alliance. Any action will only be taken with the consent of the complaining party. Local laws apply. If you witness harassment or discriminatory behavior, please consider intervening.

Here is what we expect from all participants:

Act with honesty, integrity, respect, openness and transparency. Respect others and the diversity of professional opinions – scientific, technical or otherwise. Harassment or coercion in any form, such as sexual, moral, or financial, is not tolerated.

Perform and act in good faith for the benefit of the community. Act fairly, impartially and in good faith and do not allow personal or professional interests or relationships to influence words or actions. Refrain from disseminating false or misleading information or from withholding information necessary to a full, fair, and complete consideration of the issues at stake.

Promote and enable all voices to be heard and ensure that participation is properly representative of the community and that any barriers to full and equal participation are acknowledged and continuously and actively addressed. Uphold diversity and inclusion, with a particular focus on gender, age, and level of economic development.

Declare actual and potential conflicts of interest and manage them appropriately by communicating in a fair, transparent, and timely manner to interested parties.

SOLICITATION
FIPS ‘n’ Chips 2026 is a no-solicitation event. In order to provide a distraction-free environment for the attendees, we do not allow solicitation of any kind during the event, including sales presentation and asking for or offering business.

PHOTOGRAPHY, AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORDING
The event is held in a private space; therefore, participants are not allowed to record photos, video, or audio without the permission of the organizers. A recording of the presentations will be made available to the participants after the event is over. Participants authorize the Crypto-V Alliance to edit, alter, copy, and exhibit images taken by the official event photographer for online publication and other related, lawful purposes.

ADMITTANCE
In its sole discretion, the Crypto-V Alliance reserves the right to refuse admittance to or expel from the event anyone that it determines is behaving in a manner that could be disruptive to the event or any other attendee.

FORCE MAJEURE
The Crypto-V Alliance shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without the fault or negligence of the Crypto-V Alliance or its subcontractors. For one or more of such reasons, the Crypto-V Alliance may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of the Crypto-V Alliance. In the event that FIPS ‘n’ Chips 2026 cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the Crypto-V Alliance shall not be liable to attendee for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.
