About
Crypto-V Alliance
We believe that strong cryptography—correctly implemented and rigorously validated—is foundational to the security of every digital system.

Our Story
Modern society relies on cryptography to secure communications, protect information, and establish trust in digital systems.
Trust depends on more than strong algorithms, however: Secure systems require sound engineering, independent evaluation, validation, and an informed community capable of implementing and assessing cryptographic technologies correctly.
Crypto-V Alliance was established to help bridge the gap between cryptographic theory and trusted deployment.
As a nonprofit organization, the Alliance provides a neutral forum where organizations can collaborate to advance cryptographic assurance and strengthen digital security.
What the “V” Means
Validation
Independent assessment provides confidence that cryptographic technologies satisfy established requirements and security objectives.
Validated
Validated solutions demonstrate conformance to recognized standards through objective testing and review.
Verified
Trust is built upon evidence. Verification provides assurance that security claims are supported by facts rather than assumptions.
Together, Validation, Validated, and Verified represent the principles that guide the Alliance’s work.

Our Vision
We envision a world in which trustworthy cryptography is widely understood, properly implemented, independently evaluated, and confidently deployed.
Crypto-V Alliance seeks to help organizations navigate an increasingly complex cryptographic landscape while promoting the responsible adoption of emerging technologies through education, research, publications, events, and collaboration.
Our goal is to improve digital trust and security for the broader public benefit.
Our Principles
Supporting rigorous engineering, sound research, and evidence-based security practices.
Valuing objective evaluation, independent testing, and impartial validation.
Sharing knowledge broadly to strengthen the cybersecurity community.
Bringing together diverse perspectives to advance cryptographic assurance.
